How to Purchase

Direct:
Take yourself right into downtown Fairfax and stop-by "the Scoop" for a cone of your favorite local flavors. This is the only way to purchase ice-cream from Ray and Melinda. If you say it with a smile they may even pack a pint size container for you to take home and enjoy at a later occasion. Don't fret if you see a long line out the door, it moves quickly and it is worth the wait.

The Farmer

Ray and Melinda purchase 100% of their ice-cream mix from another one of our members, Straus Family Creamery. They also go above and beyond what is reasonable to create flavors centered on products from Marin Organic growers. Lavender from Cow Track Ranch, Mount Barnabe Raspberries, Sartori Strawberries, and the list is always changing with the seasons.

Work on the Farm

You may be able to pick up an application next time you stop-by for a scoop. While they're open year-round, the busiest months are definitely the summer ones.

Farm Visits

It isn't typical to have a farm tour to an ice-cream shop, but it has been known to happen. More frequently is the occasional appearance of Ray's Vanilla Honey Lavender Ice Cream to a special Marin Organic event on a farm.

Please inquire by calling the Marin Organic office, 415.663.9667 and by visiting our Farm Tours web page.
