- Recycle and buy smaller quantities of food products to prevent spoilage and have diminished their waste by over 50%
- Conserve water by over 30% by relocating sprinkler heads, eliminating large turf sprinklers, hand watering, redirecting runoff water to collection ponds
- Work with the County and Questa Engineering to come up with a comprehensive plan to get rid of old septic tanks and instead recycle waste water from the homes in the valley to use on the golf course
- Avoid using harmful pesticides by working with WildCare and The Hungry Owl Project to install 10 blue bird boxes and plan to install owl boxes this year
- Promote creek restoration and the wildlife in and around the creeks by working with organizations like SPAWN and California Fish and Game to plant native shrubs/bushes/trees to promote shade for fry and colder water temperature, add a fish ladder to aid fish in swimming upstream while spawning, and boulders along decaying creek beds
- Use organic fertilizers on the golf course and natural bacteria to the ponds to promote healthy ponds
- Use electric powered golf carts and would like to eventually add solar panels to the building
- Work with groups like Environmental Forum of Marin and the West Marin Environmental Coalition to explore all options and find ways on how we can become one of the first all organic golf course
